Granny Squares Baby Blanket

I love Granny Squares! I have a little bag with granny squares of all kinds of patterns, sizes and colors. Most of them are test pieces I did, to see what a particular combination of yarn and needle would produce. I hope I get enough of these at some point to make them into an eclectic throw or bed cover.
One of my recent Granny Projects is this baby blanket, which I'm selling on Etsy. It started, like most of my projects do, with a passion for a certain color combo. I was feeling "browns and blues" and wanted to see them come together in one project.
I decided to have at least one shade of brown and one shade of blue in each square and then started crocheting at whim, pretty much.
I soon had a small pile of squares -
As you can see by the larger ones, I decided to frame all of them with a row of baby blue -
At which point I decided they would be perfect for a pretty little baby blanket.
Sixteen squares, organized semi-randomly, were finally sewn together, and an edge of repeating Granny stripes in the same colors added, and here's the result:

It's folded nicely and tucked away, waiting for a buyer to give it a forever home. Available on my Etsy Shop as this Blues and Browns Baby Afghan
